Biography
Haoyi Wang is a PhD student in Developmental Psychology and Education at the APHD department. Her research examines mathematical cognition and problem-solving. She has chaired a symposium at the Mathematical Cognition and Learning Society conference and served as a reviewer for the American Educational Research Association conferences. Her publications cover the topics of procedural flexibility and values. For this conference, her primary wish is to explore how our scholarly practices in education can be acts of radical hope for creating empowering and equitable classrooms that serve as foundational spaces for rebuilding a more just society.
