Biography

My name is Latifa Soliman, I completed my MEd in Education Leadership and Policy at ¹û½´ÊÓƵ in 2020 and just began my PhD in Language and Literacies Education this past September.

My research focuses on displaced post-secondary students from war regions and their journeys of learning the languages of host countries, work I'm deeply passionate about because I believe research should serve and uplift communities.

Outside of academia, I find peace and creativity in Islamic art and watercolour painting, which remind me of the beauty in diverse cultural expressions.
