The ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Bursary Application is a web-based platform used by students to apply for and track bursary application outcomes, and by the ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Office of Student Financial Support to manage the ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Bursary Program. This program provides non-repayable financial aid to full-time ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ students who demonstrate financial need beyond what is covered by OSAP or their home province’s student aid program.

The ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Course Outline Explorer is a custom-built platform designed to digitize both existing and new ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ course outlines, offering a streamlined, accessible, and user-friendly experience for instructors and students.

One of the essential features of the ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Course Outline Explorer is the autonomy it offers over intellectual property. Users/Faculty retain full ownership of their course outlines and are free to delete or modify them at any time, ensuring that their creative work remains under their control.

By transforming static documents into dynamic, editable formats, the ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Course Outline Explorer not only simplifies course outline management but also supports long-term flexibility and innovation in curriculum design.

The ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Course Planner (often referred to as ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ CP) is a web-based application designed to support staff, faculty, and instructors with course planning. The website allows administrative staff to plan and schedule courses for upcoming sessions. Faculty and instructors can view class and waitlists, indicate general teaching and course preferences, and more.

Access to the ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Course Planner depends on a faculty member’s or instructor’s assigned roles and status within OISE and the HRIS system. If you are an existing or former instructor experiencing access issues, please contact your department’s business officer for assistance. New hires can reach out to Education Commons for access requests.

The Graduate Funding application is a web-based tool used primarily as a communication channel between the ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Office of Student Financial Support and ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ upcoming and current students, applying for or receiving graduate funding packages.

¹û½´ÊÓÆµ staff use the application to manage, track, and audit graduate funding packages, while students can view records of their current and past funding.

It is used by both ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ students and staff within the Research, Partnership and Innovation department to manage and review applications.

The ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Hiring System is a web-based application designed to streamline the creation, posting, application, review, and selection processes of job postings for specific internal roles at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (¹û½´ÊÓÆµ). The ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ Hiring System currently supports the hiring process for the following:

  • Graduate Assistantships (GA)
  • Research and Development Graduate Assistantships (R&DGA)
  • Teaching Assistantships (TA)
  • Sessional Lecturer (SL) positions

The Student Supervision application provides faculty, staff, and instructors with a list of ¹û½´ÊÓÆµ students organized by program and department, along with key details such as year of study, supervisor, and email. The application also offers reporting features, including the ability to generate and export summaries of students by supervisor and/or advisor. Any edits or corrections to data within the system must be escalated to the associated Graduate Liaison Officer (GLO).

Education Commons is not permitted to make changes to data within the Student Supervision application and cannot assist with data-related edits or modifications.
